Yay ! ABC Family just announced the pick up of Twisted, (formerly Socio) for the upcoming summer season!
STARNEWSONLINE.COM — Wilmington actress Maddie Hasson is coming back to the small screen.
After co-starring in the sweet but short-lived Fox procedural “The Finder,” Hasson heads to ABC Family to star in its new drama, “Twisted.”
The network, which announced the pick-up Wednesday, describes “Twisted” (formerly titled “Socio”) as a “one-hour mystery full of twists and turns that is centered on a charismatic 16-year-old with a troubled past who recently reconnected with his two female best friends from childhood. He becomes the prime suspect when a fellow student is surprisingly found dead in her home.”
Hasson will play one of those childhood friends. Avan Jogia (“Victorious”), Kylie Bunbury (“Prom”), Kimberly Quinn (“Terriers”), Sam Robards (“Treme,” “Gossip Girl”), Ashton Moio and Denise Richards (“Two and a Half Men”) also star.
Hasson filmed the pilot last fall. No premiere date has been announced, but production is expected to start by spring.
Hasson is a New Bern native, though she spent most of her life in Wilmington, performing with local dance and theater companies.
