Deadline reports that Maddie has been cast in the movie Good After Bad
DEADLINE — Melora Walters, Maddie Hasson and Billy Burke have been cast in Good After Bad, an indie from first-time feature director Anne-Marie Hess. The film follows the relationship between a bullied student, Shelly (Hasson), whose home life is in shambles, and a wealthy eccentric, Wes (Burke), with no friends and issues with women. Things take a turn when Wes offers to become the teen’s guardian. Walters will portray Shelly’s mother, Victoria, a former society type now feeling the aftereffects of years of hard living who is manic, off her meds and living with an alcoholic ex-con.
Hasson’s role as Shelly is a smart, attractive, high school outcast and aspiring songwriter described as artistic, perceptive and vulnerable. Desperate for structure and a place to fit in, Shelly is very grateful when Wes comes into her life. Good After Bad is produced by Matt Leutwyler via his Accelerated Matter production/distribution banner. Morgan Spurlock is exec producing through his Warrior Poets banner.
Hasson will next be seen in the Hank Williams, Sr. biopic I Saw The Light, and was recently seen on ABC Family’s Twisted. She’s repped by UTA, Coast To Coast Talent Group and The Beddingfield Company.
Congrats Maddie!
